New NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Dick Hutton successfully defended the title in Memphis against Wild Bill Longston, who
was also a former NWA World Champ himself.Hutton returned to the promotion in Oct and was successful in that title defense
as well.

well known wrestler of the early days of Television.After the batles with Savoldi, George had some battles with a young Ray
Stevens.

Also on May 26th, former memphis promoter Les Wolfe to work the Gulas-Welch promotion in the capacity of local booker. Wolfe
replaced Mickey Barnes who had held the position since Gulas-Welch bought the promotion back in 1957
